Elmer W. Johnson is President of The Aspen Institute and counsel to the law firm of Kirkland and Ellis.  He is a former Executive Vice President and Director of General Motors Corporation and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He has been a member of The Commercial Club of Chicago since 1978 and is a member of its Civic Committee.
