Sharon Percy Rockefeller has
been President and Chief Executive Officer of WETA, Washington, D.C.’s flagship
public television and radio stations, since 1989. She was a member of the Board
of Directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting for twelve years,
including four years as Chairman. She is a member of the Board of Directors of
PBS. She serves on the boards of PepsiCo, the National Gallery of Art, the
Museum of Modern Art, and the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. She is a
recipient of the Charles Frankel Prize by the National Endowment for the
Humanities; the Distinguished Broadcaster Award; the Women of Vision Award from
the Women in Film and Video; and the CINE Lifetime Achievement Award. She
is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences. |

Kathleen Hall Jamieson is Elizabeth Ware Packard
Professor of Com-munication at the Annenberg School for Communication and
Walter and Leonore Annenberg Director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center at
the University of Pennsylvania. She is the author, co-author, or editor of
fifteen books, including unSpun: Finding Facts in a World of Disinformation;
The 2000 Presidential Election and the Foundations of Party Politics; The
Press Effect; and Everything You Think You Know About Politics . . .
and Why You’re Wrong. During the 2004 general election, she regularly
appeared on NOW with Bill Moyers and The Newshour. She is a Fellow of the
American Academy of Arts & Sciences and a member of the American
Philosophical Society.

Tom Brokaw is Special Correspondent for NBC
News, where he served as anchor and managing editor of the NBC Nightly News.
Recently honored with a Peabody Award, he is also the recipient of the Edward
R. Murrow and Emmy awards for Lifetime Achievement, as well as the Sylvanus
Thayer Award of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He is the
author of The Greatest Generation; The Greatest Generation Speaks;
An Album of Memories: Personal Histories from the Greatest Generation;
and A Long Way from Home: Growing Up in the American Heartland. He is
a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences. |

Gwen Ifill is Moderator and Managing Editor of Washington Week
and Senior Correspondent for The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer. Before
coming to PBS, she spent five years at NBC News as Chief Congressional and
Political Correspondent. Prior to NBC, she covered the White House and politics
for The New York Times and national and local affairs for The
Washington Post, The Baltimore Evening Sun, and the Boston
Herald American. She serves on the board of the Harvard University
Institute of Politics, the Committee to Protect Journalists, the Museum of
Television and Radio, and the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College
of Journalism. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences. |
