Darshan Goux is the Program Director for American Institutions, Society, and the Public Good. Through Spring 2020, her primary focus will continue to be the work of the Commission on the Practice of Democratic Citizenship.
Prior to joining the Academy, Darshan held positions at IBM, Partners HealthCare, UC Berkeley and the University of British Columbia. She worked for many years as a primary research and communications strategy expert, participating in the design and execution of public opinion research for non-profit, government, corporate and political organizations around the world. These initiatives took her from the shores of Perth to the island of Guam, the forests of British Columbia, the towns of New Zealand, and across US presidential battleground states and Congressional districts. She brings expertise in data analysis and visualization. Her work has been published in American Politics Research, The Boston Globe, and elsewhere. Darshan has a BA from Yale University in Ethics, Politics and Economics and an MA and PhD in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
