Liza Youngling is a Humanities Policy Fellow working in the American Institutions, Society, and Public Good program area. She received her bachelor’s degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and earned an MA and Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her research focused on the role of housing stakeholders in the reconstruction of U.S. homeownership after the 2008 recession.

Prior to joining the Academy, Liza taught Anthropology at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois.
