Sam Sanker joined the American Academy in May 2021 as the Director of Individual and Planned Giving. He coordinates all aspects of the Minerva Society, the Academy’s new community of planned giving donors. He currently serves as the President-Elect of the Planned Giving Group of New England.
Prior to joining the Academy, Sam worked in higher education fundraising for over a decade. During this period, he managed the planned giving program at Harvard Medical School and was a member of the planned giving department at Tufts University.
Sam received his A.B. in psychology from Harvard College and received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. Prior to his career in fundraising, he was an associate at the law firm of Kelley Drye & Warren.
