Jonathan Haidt is associate professor of social psychology at the University of Virginia. His research focuses on morality and emotion and how they vary across cultures. He is currently studying the positive moral emotions, such as awe, admiration, and moral elevation. In 2001 he was awarded the Templeton Prize in Positive Psychology

Craig Joseph is a postdoctoral research associate in the Committee on Human Development at the University of Chicago. His research focuses on the cultural psychology of moral functioning and the virtues, the psychology of political violence, and the adaptation of Muslim communities to life in the United States.
