A project of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences

Economic connectedness improves lives and communities.

The Commission on Reimagining Our Economy seeks to redirect a focus from how the economy is doing onto how Americans are doing. This initiative emerged out of the Commission’s recognition of economic connectedness as a vital tool to build a people-first economy.

Commission on REIMAGINING OUR ECONOMY

The Academy's bipartisan, crossdisciplinary Commission worked to advance an American economy that works for the people who make it work. Rather than focus on how the economy is doing, the Commission envisioned a focus on how Americans are doing. Explore the data, research, faces, voices, and recommendations they developed at amacad.org/economy.
