Achieve Your Degree Program at Ivy Tech Community College

Program Description:  

The Achieve Your Degree Program of Ivy Tech Community College provides learners with the opportunity to earn an associate degree or certificate while working full-time. Ivy Tech Community College works with nearly 300 employers (e.g., Amazon, Goodwill, UPS, Child Adult Resource Services) who provide tuition reimbursement benefits for learners, which, coupled with financial aid, typically allows students to complete the program for free. The affordability of the program, alongside the flexibility of hybrid course offerings, allows working learners to keep up with their coursework at a pace that fits their schedules and lives. Ivy Tech Community College also offers options for learners in this program to transfer to a four-year college or university to work towards a bachelor’s degree.  

Impact:  

The Achieve Your Degree program benefits employers and employees across the state of Indiana by providing companies with a way to upskill their workforce while providing new skills and credentials to employees. 

A 2026 evaluation of the program by RAND showed that participation in the program increased the likelihood of attaining postsecondary credentials, particularly a short-term certificate. Achieve Your Degree was also found to benefit lower-income learners eligible for federal Pell Grants.  

Population Served:  

Any Ivy Tech Community College learner who is working full-time with a participating employer is eligible for the program. The program is also available to employees of executive-level state agencies and departments, including the Department of Corrections and the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
