Alaska Pathways for a Digital Economy

Program Description:

Alaska Pathways for a Digital Economy is a portal specifically designed for Alaskans to explore pathways and economic opportunities in a rapidly transforming digital economy. Alongside helping Alaskan’s identify job opportunities, the portal also helps users understand what a digital economy is and how to navigate it. The platform works with educational institutions, Alaska Native corporations, employers, tribes, industry associations, and individuals to provide shared resources and a common platform to come together.  

Job listings on the portal come from myriad industries including information technology, telecommunications, construction, and data collection. Each pathway provided through the portal includes information on entry-level jobs through senior positions. The pathways provide flexibility to try out different paths or remain within one pathway for the entirety of your career.

Impact:

Alaska Pathways for a Digital Economy guides and connects Alaskans with educational, workforce, experiential, and industry resources, helping them secure high paying jobs. When Alaskans are provided with strong economic pathways, Alaska becomes a stronger community with healthier individuals and a prosperous future.

Population Served:  

All Alaskans can utilize the Alaska Pathways for Digital Economy portal. There are also specific resources available for Alaskan Natives and veterans, and STEM resources for students in grades 8-12.
