Arkansas LAUNCH

Program Description:

Arkansas LAUNCH is a statewide workforce and career development platform designed to strengthen Arkansas’s talent pipeline by promoting skills-based hiring. The platform connects jobseekers to employment opportunities based on skills they have obtained and makes personalized recommendations based on their interests. Jobseekers wanting to upskill or re-skill can explore new career paths and identify training programs in high-demand industries. The site includes links to local support services such as transportation and childcare and connects users’ job-seeking tasks to state reporting requirements for unemployment insurance.  

Employers can use the platform to identify candidates based on teachable and job-ready skills and invite qualified jobseekers to apply to open positions. LAUNCH for Students supports career planning and exploration for primary and secondary students. Learners select up to three different career pathways based on their individual interests and aptitudes and can use the platform to plan their coursework and record their experiential learning activities. The platform also supports verification of the high school diploma allowing credential data to move with the learner. 

Impact:  

Since deployment in early 2025, more than 11,000 unique users have used the site and clicked on nearly 35,000 job postings.  LAUNCH has 5,777 jobs available from 634 different employers to choose from.
