OnRamps builds K-12 and higher education partnerships to provide dynamic experiences that advance student success and lower barriers to opportunity.
Program Description:
OnRamps is a program of the University of Texas at Austin that prepares students and teachers for success in the classroom and beyond. The primary focus of the program is to build partnerships between K12 and higher education that lead to more dynamic experiences for students to succeed, lowering barriers to access and opportunity.
OnRamps offers over 18 dual enrollment classes at the University of Texas at Austin in Science, Technology, Math, Arts, and the Humanities, designed specifically to help students be successful in public higher education institutions across the state of Texas. OnRamps also offers a professional development program for high school teachers teaching dual enrollment courses.
Impact:
The goal of OnRamps is to increase the number of students who access and engage in learning experiences aligned with the expectations of leading research universities. Over 248,000 students have taken an OnRamps dual enrollment course, leading to over $58 million saved in tuition and fees for students in the 2024-2025 school year alone.
Population Served:
OnRamps partners with more than 450 high schools in more than 200 districts across Texas.
