The Texas Talent Accelerator

Program Description:  

Launched in September 2025 by the University of North Texas, The Texas Talent Accelerator is a regional workforce intelligence hub that develops labor market insights while convening higher education, industry, and economic development leaders to actively collaborate in strengthening the talent pipeline of North Texas. The Accelerator works across sector boundaries to drive economic growth, strengthen regional competitiveness, and expand opportunities for economic development across North Texas.

Impact:  

The Texas Talent Accelerator is future-focused, shaping the labor market and talent outcomes of the next generation of North Texans. The Accelerator hopes to align talent pathways with the region’s evolving needs through the following ways:  

• Connect talent to opportunity  

• Strengthen partnerships between educational institutions and regional employers 

• Share insights with regional partners to track workforce needs 

• Break down silos for coordinated collaboration 

• Align programming, credentials, internships, and other workforce development opportunities with high paying, in demand jobs  

Population Served:  

The Texas Talent Accelerator serves employers, economic and workforce development organizations, and higher education institutions throughout the North Texas region. North Texas is currently on track to become the nation’s third-largest metro area with a population of more than 10 million and dozens of Fortunes 500 company headquarters.
