On October 12, 2014, as part of the Academy’s 2014 Induction weekend program, Robert D. Ballard (President, Ocean Exploration Trust; Director, Center for Ocean Exploration; and Professor of Oceanography, University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography) told the story of his passionate career in ocean exploration. He also discussed the educational initiatives he has created to engage a new generation of scientists.
