"A Celebration of the Arts and Humanities" was the first event of the 2018 Induction Weekend of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences. Held on Friday, October 5 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, "A Celebration of the Arts and Humanities" served as the 2070th Stated Meeting of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Following a welcome from Nancy Andrews, a greeting from Robert Millard, and an introduction by Jonathan Fanton, the celebration featured remarks from newly elected Academy members Viet Thanh Nguyen, Jacqueline Stewart, Damian Woetzel, Tania Leon, and Richard J. Powell; with closing remarks from John Lithgow.
