LA Members' Reception: What Can We Learn about Rebuilding from Los Angeles?
Apr 26, 2026
|
Los Angeles, CA
Last year’s devastating fires reshaped local communities, destroying homes and altering neighborhoods across the region. This program will offer a chance to reflect on the rebuilding process, explore the innovative recovery efforts now underway, and learn how the American Academy of Arts and Sciences is helping document this work as part of a broader project on the role of local institutions in addressing the housing crisis.
This gathering will also provide time to connect with fellow Academy members and to celebrate our most recently elected colleagues. We hope you and a guest will join President Laurie Patton and the Los Angeles Program Committee for an evening of conversation and community.
