Alexey Vladimirovich Yablokov

Councellor, Russian Academy of Science. Research focuses on  population biology, environmental policy, radiobiology. He has studies variability of mammals, reptiles, insects, etc. He has formulated the population phenetic approach (phene -- visible yes-no character which use a genetical marker for microevolution,  conservation biology, etc.). His current work concerns the conservation and evolutionary  biology (biodiversity, health of environment, directed evolution), environmental policy, low doses (Chernobyl etc.).
