Anastasia Shesterinina is Professor and Chair in Comparative Politics in the Department of Politics at the University of York. She is the author of Mobilizing in Uncertainty: Collective Identities and War in Abkhazia (2021), and has published in such journals as American Political Science Review, Journal of Peace Research, and European Journal of International Relations.
