Ann L. Lee

Ann L. Lee is Senior Vice President at Genentech and Head of Global Technical Development at Genentech’s parent company, Roche.  She is responsible for developing and manufacturing all clinical stage products in Roche’s rich pipeline, as well as technology transfers and technical support for commercial products. She has >2500 scientists and engineers reporting to her.  Earlier at Merck & Co, Inc. (1989 – 2005), she held leadership positions in vaccine development including leading the effort to produce the quadrivalent human papilloma virus vaccine, and then served as Vice President, Chemical Technology and Engineering.  Over her career, she has contributed to licensure of 21 vaccines and medicines improving human health world-wide.  Lee is a member of the National Academy of Engineering.
