Anne Curzan

Anne Curzan is the Geneva Smitherman Collegiate Professor of English, Linguistics, and Education at the University of Michigan. She is the author of Gender Shifts in the History of English (2003), How English Works: A Linguistic Introduction (with Michael Adams, 2015), Fixing English: Prescriptivism and Language History (2014), and First Day to Final Grade: A Graduate Student’s Guide to Teaching (with Lisa Damour, 2011).
