Chairman of the Board. Honorary consul general of Sweden in San Francisco. Stockholm native who moved to the U.S. in the early 1980s after pursuing a career in publishing and advertising in Sweden. For 17 years she was the owner and publisher of Vestkusten, one of the few Swedish-American newspapers in the United States. She is the founder of the San Francisco chapter of Swedish Women's Educational Association (SWEA) and was president of Positive Sweden/North America, an organization furthering the image of Sweden through educational activities in the U. S. Her Pro Suecia Foundation supports Swedish-related cultural and educational projects in North America and Sweden. It has funded programs that advance understanding of Swedish culture and tradition both in Sweden and in America at several American universities, including the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Texas at Austin, University of Washington Seattle (endowed chair), University of Illinois, Urbana, University of California, Los Angeles, Gustavus Adolphus College, Augustana College, and Bethany College. She serves on the board of the University of California, the Berkeley Foundation, the American-Scandinavian Foundation, and Svenskar i V�rlden, the global organization for Swedes living abroad. She also is an active member of the Consular Corps of San Francisco.
