Benjamin Ingrim Page is the Gordon S. Fulcher Professor of Decision Making and Faculty Associate of the Institute for Policy Research at Northwestern University. Page brings empirical evidence to bear on rational choice theories. He helped promote the view that collective public opinion is considerably more stable and coherent than was previously suggested by studies of individual behavior. Page provided some of the first solid evidence that collective public opinion has substantial effects on the making of both foreign and domestic policy. He is currently engaged in a large collaborative project to study Economically Successful Americans and the Common Good, supported in part by the Russell Sage Foundation.
