Christopher Thomas Walsh

Walsh held faculty positions at MIT (Chemistry & Biology Depts, 1972-1987) and Harvard Medical School (Biological Chemistry & Molecular Pharmacology Dept, 1987-2014) and was emeritus at HMS. He spent 8 months a year at Stanford as a consulting professor to the Chemistry Dept and the new Chemistry, Engineering and Medicine for Human Health Center at Stanford. He continued to have scientific advisory and director roles at biotechnology companies and venture funds and at nonprofit institutions (Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, California Institute for Biomedical Research). He last co-authored Antibiotics: Challenges, Mechanisms, Opportunities from ASM Press, 2016.
