Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Trustees of Wesleyan University, Honorary Trustee of the Brookings Institution and Trustee Emeritus of Rockefeller University. Currently serves on the boards of Thirteen/WNET and Brandeis University and is Chairman of The Library of America. He is a member of the Council of Foreign Relations.
