danah boyd is a Partner Researcher at Microsoft Research, the Founder of Data & Society, and a Distinguished Visiting Professor at Georgetown University. She is the author of It’s Complicated: The Social Lives of Networked Teens (2014), Hanging Out, Messing Around, and Geeking Out: Kids Living and Learning with New Media (with Mizuko Ito, Heather A. Horst, Judd Antin, et al., 2009), and Participatory Culture in a Networked Era (with Henry Jenkins and Mizuko Ito, 2015).
