Economic theorist whose contributions to game theory include rationalizability (a cornerstone of subsequent literature on epistemic analysis of games); theory of dynamic games with imperfect monitoring (applied in macroeconomic theory, international economics, and public finance); concept and theory of psychological games (which has been applied to literature on psychology and economics); and, most recently, investigation of bargaining, reputation, and equilibrium selection in various dynamic games.
