Professor David Hackett Fischer is Earl Warren Professor of History at Brandeis University. His research interests large macroeconomics, cultural trends, and American history. Fischer has been on the faculty of Brandeis University for 50 years, where he is known for being interested in his students and history. He is the recipient of the Pritzker Literature Award, Carnegie Prize, Pulitzer Prize, and Kristol Award. He is best known for his works Albion's Seeds and Washington's Crossing.
