Research examines techniques for controlling carbon emissions; the relationship of the income tax to the consumption tax; the treatment of corporate income and corporate debt; the analysis of capital gains; the treatment of the holders of carried interests in venture capital arrangements; and the understanding of the relationship of corporate structure to the incidents of taxation. Works on issues beyond his immediate specialization at both the micro and macro economic level, including antitrust regulation, civil procedure, rate regulation, empirical research, and economic theory. ~~
