The New York Philharmonic, the Chicago Symphony, the Cleveland Orchestra, the British Broadcasting Orchestra, the Julliard Quartet, the Ensemble Intercontemporain, the Berlin Staatsoper Unter Den Linden and many others have commissioned works from him. Books about his music and his writings have been published. Festivals of his music have been given in Amsterdam, Londin, Turin, Lucern, Avignon and Tanglewood.
