Eva L. Baker

Eva Baker is a Distinguished Research Professor; Director of the Center For Study Evaluation; Director of the Center for Research on Evaluation, Standards, and Student Testing; and Director of the Center for Advanced Technology in Schools at the University of California, Los Angeles Graduate School of Education and Information Studies. Baker's research focuses on student performance, including technology's developing role in assessment.

Baker is the 2010 President of the World Educational Research Association, and was President of the American Educational Research Association in 2007. She is a member of the National Academy of Education. She co-chaired the committee that produced Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing published in 1999. She directs UCLA’s Center for the Study of Evaluation (CSE), and directs the Center for Research on Evaluation, Standards, and Student Testing (CRESST), a project of which is the Center for Advanced Technology in Schools (CATS).

Baker received a B.A. and M.A. in Education and Ed.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
