Evelyn L. Hu

Designed and created complex nanostructures; advanced nanostructure patterning before nanotechnology became recognized as standalone field. Work focuses on nanoscale devices made from compound semiconductors and on novel devices made by integrating materials, both organic and inorganic. Work includes high-resolution patterning and etching of circuits onto nanoscale materials. Currently focuses on interaction between nanotechnology and biology, using biological assembly pathways to control composition, structure, and molecular specificity of novel devices.
