My interests are the structural bases of respiratory function, from the lung through the circulation to the mitochondria based on morphometric analysis. I am emeritus Professor of Anatomy at the University of Bern in Switzerland, and was a long-time Associate in the Museum of Comparative Zoology of Harvard University.
