A Lebanese national, Ghassan Salame is one of the Arab world's most influential policy analysts, public intellectuals and policy advocates. A professor of international Relations at Sciences-Po (Paris) since 1986, and the founding Dean of its Paris School of International Affairs, he has made a mark in several distinct fields, contributing major works in the political science of the Middle East, advising several UN Secretaries General on regional affairs, including peace-keeping in Iraq, serving as Lebanon's Minister of~Culture, and founding the influential Arab Foundation for Arts and Culture, which supports young artists, writers and performers in the Arab world.
