Research focuses on Greek and Roman ethics and rhetoric, ancient mythology and religion, and iconography. She has written on Greek ethical philosophy and its reflection in various aspects of ancient life and on the iconography of ethical concepts from antiquity to modern times. Work in progress: Plato's rhetoric, the cults of Hestia and Vesta, pulpit iconography (Byzantine and Baroque), Irish megalithic archaeology.
