Henry H. Arnhold is Chairman emeritus at Arnhold & S. Bleichroeder Holdings, Inc., a banking firm. Arnhold is also a Director at First Eagle Investment Management, LLC. He serves as the President of the Arnhold and Mulago foundations. He has been a board member of Conservation International, the New School University, and the World Policy Institute. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the American Council on Germany. A refugee from Nazi Germany, he has worked to improve German-American relations in the postwar era, and has focused especially on Dresden, creating an exchange program between the Technical University of Dresden and the New School University, restoring the Frauenkirche, and building the New Synagogue and the Kunstsammlungen Dresden. He also established the Lisa and Henry Arnhold Lecture at the American Academy in Berlin. He has one of the world's most important private collections of Meissen porcelain, now at the Frick Collection. Elected Fellow 2004 (V:2).
