J.G. Jackson and C.J. Wood Professor of Chemistry. Pioneered chemical vapor deposition synthesis for single-walled carbon nanotubes which show quantum transport, ohmic contact behavior, and other mesoscopic physics phenomena. Research efforts have led to novel chemical sensors, improved nanotube field-effect transistors, and biological delivery systems enabling delivery of biomolecules and destruction of cancer cells.
