Isaiah Andrews

Isaiah Andrews is the Charles E. and Susan T. Harris Professor of Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Andrews' research focuses on econometrics, specifically the development of statistical inference models meant to strengthen applied empirical research methods for understanding and addressing socioeconomic and population heath issues. His dedication to improving statistical tools has far-reaching implications in economics and a range of other disciplines.

He has been awarded the Robert M. Solow Prize for Excellence in Research and Teaching, the John Bates Clark Medal, and a MacArthur Fellowship; and is a Fellow of the Econometric Society. Andrews received a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from Yale University and a Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
