Past research concerned the molecular mechanism of how estrogenic hormones function in target cells. This research centered on the characterization of the estrogen receptor and its role in the regulation of growth in target tissues. Now retired, he maintains interest in these same areas as a reviewer of scientific papers and grants. He also has an interest in livestock breeding and has a small herd of dairy cattle.
