Jacob Lew is a Managing Partner at Lindsay Goldberg. He joined the firm after serving as 76th Secretary of the Treasury of the United States. Lew focuses on firm management and all aspects of the investment process. He is also on the faculty at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, where he teaches courses on economic policy and democratic institutions.

He chairs the board of the National Committee on US China Relations, serves as Co-President of the National Library of Israel USA board, and is a member of the boards of the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities and the Financial Services Volunteers Corps. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the National Academy of Social Insurance. 

Prior to serving as Treasury Secretary, Lew served as President Obama's Chief of Staff and Deputy Secretary of State, as well as Director of the Office of Management and Budget under Presidents Obama and Clinton. Previously, he was a senior policy adviser to House Speaker Thomas P. O'Neill, Jr., managing director and chief operating officer of two units within Citi and served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of New York University, where he was also a professor of public administration. 

Lew earned his A.B. from Harvard College and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. He has honorary degrees from Georgetown University, the Jewish Theological Seminary and Yeshiva University.
