Professor of Economics. Work on semiparametric censored regression showed a correction to censoring could be done under weaker assumptions than was previously thought possible. Brought least absolute deviation estimators and symmetric trimming to the fore in econometrics. Used semiparametric techniques for selection and index models. Current focus is on endogeneity in nonparametric settings.
