John Wermer

Research centers on complex analysis with special emphasis on polynomial and rational approximation in several complex variables. he has also worked on the related theory of Uniform Algebras and written a basic text on the interplay between these subjects (the recent 3rd edition jointly with Herbert Alexander). During the last 10 years he has worked, jointly with colleagues, on interpolation by bounded analytic involve efforts to educate himself in the geometry and topology that play a big role in modern physics.
