Joseph William Polisi

President Emeritus; Chief China Officer, The Juilliard School. President of Juilliard for 34 years. Contributed to the establishment of new student services, a revised curriculum, an emphasis on the humanities and liberal arts, and an emphasis on community outreach. Helped create Juilliard's first branch campus, The Tianjin Juilliard School, in 2020. Accomplished bassoonist who has performed in solo and chamber performances.
