Kenneth Scheve is the I.A. O’Shaughnessy Dean of the College of Arts Letters and Professor of Political Science. He earned his bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Notre Dame and doctoral degree in political science from Harvard University. Ken has held tenured faculty appointments at Yale University, Stanford University, and the University of Michigan. Most recently, he was the Dean Acheson Professor of Political Science & Global Affairs and Dean of Social Science at Yale University. He is a political economist who studies the domestic and international governance of modern capitalism. His research focuses on inequality and redistribution, the politics of globalization, the social and political consequences of long run economic change, and climate politics. He is an elected member of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences and currently serves as the Chair of the International Political Economy Society.
