Kevin J. Gutierrez is a resident psychiatrist at New York University Langone Medical Center, and a former Minority Fellow in the American Psychiatric Association and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. He is a former instructor in the Master of Science in Narrative Medicine Program at Columbia University. His work on the integration of critical race theory, decolonial theory, and the medical humanities into medical education has been published in journals such as The New England Journal of Medicine, Academic Medicine, and Journal of Medical Humanities.
