Member of the National Academy of Sciences. Recipient of the American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics Rose Payne Award and the William B. Coley Award for Distinguished Research in Basic and Tumor Immunology.  Serves on the scientific advisory board of several biotech and pharma and editorial boards of journals in the field of immunology.  Research focuses on the role of Natural Killer cells in host defense against viral infection and cancer.
