Director, Museo Reina Sofia. Directed the Museum of the Fundació Antoni Tàpies from its inauguration in 1990 until 1998, where he mounted exhibitions on topics such as the people's city and the limits of the museum, and on artists including Bourgeois, Brassaï, Broodthaers, Haacke, and Wodiczko. As director of the Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona from 1998 to 2008, programmed shows on Kentridge, Richter, Lissitzky, Fahlström, Pettibon, and others. At Museo Reina Sofia, has programmed shows on Lygia Page, Nancy Spero, Georges Vantongerloo, Elena Asins, among others.
