Contributes to the modeling of human diseases in the mouse, from cancer to neuropsychiatric disorders. Recipient of the 2002-2003 Wolf Prize in Medicine and the 2007 Nobel Prize in Medicine and Physiology for fundamental contributions to gene targeting.
