Carmack Waterhouse Professor of Constitutional Law, Georgetown University Research deals with constitutional law and American legal and constitutional history. He has written critical analyses of contemporary constitutional law and the Supreme Court, and several works on Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall. Current research interests include the law of slavery and aspects of contemporary constitutional doctrine.
