Marta Tienda is the Maurice P. During ’22 Professor of Demographic Studies and professor of sociology and public affairs at Princeton University. She previously held appointments at the University of Chicago and the University of Wisconsin and is past president of the Population Association of America. She has authored over 200 papers about the demography of racial and ethnic inequality in the United States. She is a member of the American Academy of Political and Social Sciences, the National Academy of Education, and a former Guggenheim fellow. Tienda was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1993.
