Martin Zanni has pioneered developments in ultrafast multidimensional spectroscopies and applied those techniques to impact fundamental physical chemistry, materials science, and biophysics. His work has contributed to the foundational understanding of amyloid aggregation, ion channel conductance, carbon nanotube device design, and the fundamental physics of molecular vibrations. He invented mid-IR pulse shaping and his technological advances in femtosecond spectroscopy have been adopted worldwide.
