Melissa Chan is the Program Coordinator for Global Security and International Affairs at the American Academy. She facilitates projects within the program, including Rethinking the Humanitarian Health Response to Violent Conflict, Meeting the Challenges of the New Nuclear Age, and Promoting Dialogue on Arms Control and Disarmament. Melissa joined the Academy in late 2021. Prior to joining the Academy, Melissa was an intern at the nonprofit advocacy organization, The Borgen Project. She received her BA in International Relations from Boston University, focusing on foreign policy and security studies and the Middle East and North Africa region.
